About Michael Gilkey
Michael Gilkey is the Acting Executive Director for the National Center for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM). He is responsible for the development and execution of organizational strategy, planning and execution of both external and internal marketing efforts, coordination of graduate, undergraduate, and high school education programs and provides administrative, financial and operational oversight. Michael Gilkey earned two degrees from Case Western Reserve University. The first was a MS in Biomedical Engineering and the second was a MBA with concentrations in Bioscience Entrepreneurship and Marketing. He also has a BS in Biological Engineering from Louisiana State University.
About Kelli Watson
Kelli Watson is a sophomore at Case Western Reserve University majoring in Biomedical Engineering. She is also pre-med with minors in Psychology and Chemistry. Kelli has always been interested in the medical field and found a passion for stem cell and regenerative research throughout her education. This led her to the research she is working on now, which deals with improving methods of growing cardiac muscle cells and exploring their medical uses.
About Lewis Yuan
Lewis Yuan is a research assistant in the Case Center for Imaging Research, affiliated with the University Hospitals Department of Radiology and Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine. With Primary Investigator Dr. Zhenghong Lee, Lewis is currently working on a project to track and visualize Collagen-II expression in chondrogenically-differentiating, human mesenchymal stem cells. Lewis used to work at an NIH research lab for two summers, and he just recently graduated with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
