Winter Science Classes for Kids
Our Classes for Kids offer a perfect way for your child to spend a Saturday morning or a day out of school with
friends.
Saturday LEGO Series
These series of four Saturday sessions introduce kids to the fundamentals of LEGO robotics building and
programming. Students will learn LEGO basics to create and build their own robot capable of performing tasks
unaided by humans! This session is a series of four classes and is limited to 24 students. Students must be in 2nd
- 5th grade. All classes run from 9 am - 12 pm.
Session 1: LEGO Robotics: Space Rover
January 9, 16, 23 and 30
Stretch your creativity out of this world as you build and program robots to complete space-themed challenges.
Learn about rovers that currently working in space and design a rover of the future!
Session 2: LEGO Robotics: Winter RoboSports
February 6, 13, 20 and 27
Work as a team to build and program a robot to compete in challenges based on traditional winter Olympic sports.
Compete in robotic versions of speed skating, figure skating, giant slalom and more!
Session 3: LEGO Robotics: RoboPet
March 6, 13, 20 and 27
Why buy a pet when you can build your own? Build a rabbit, puppy, cat, tarantula, plus more. Train your pet to do
tricks and maneuver around obstacles!

Nearly three-quarters of the earth is covered in water. Discover the amazing chemical and physical properties of
this precious resource. Participate in the H2Olympics, visit our special exhibition Water: H2O = Life,
view the film Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk, and learn how you can help protect and conserve
water.
