Dive into a year of science!

Great Science Academy is our new, immersive science program for exceptional students in 6th grade. Designed as a hands-on, fun and challenging learning experience, Great Science Academy brings students together once a month on Saturdays to engage in a comprehensive exploration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Our pilot year will focus on the Great Lakes. Sessions last from 9 am – 4 pm from November 2011 - August 2012.

• Explore Great Lakes-themed topics – learn how to plan a city around a lake, find out what kinds of creatures live in Lake Erie, investigate environmental challenges and more
• Meet the experts – work with a mentor, including local scientists, city officials and professionals whose jobs revolve around Lake Erie
• Discover the places where science happens every day – take field trips to science and research facilities around Northeast Ohio
• Tap into your inner scientist – perform amazing science experiments and engage in hands-on activities with new friends
• Bonus camps – registration includes 1 week of Summer Camp, 2 days of Winter Break Camp and 1 end-of-year overnight camp-in
